Lynn Stringer Botanical Artist
  Curriculum Vitae

I am a botanical artist living and working in Co. Wicklow, Ireland. All the works featured are in watercolour and pencil. A selection of paintings are available as greetings cards and as limited edition giclee prints. The Kilmacurragh paintings are available as A5 prints. Commissions are accepted. Prices for original work ranges from €250 to €850.

Cornus capitata 'Kilmacurragh Rose' is seen above - a painting from the Kilmacurragh collection.

Some additional Fair dates and an additional teaching weekend for September  have been added below.

Bloom 2015 was very good to me.  I was awarded a gold, silver-gilt and silver medal for my three paintings.   The gold medal was for a small painting of our native primrose.  One of the paintings Chyrsanthemum 'Salmon Shoesmith' will be shown at the Botanical Art exhibition at the Galway Garden Festival, Claregalway in early July.

The Irish Society of Botanical Artists have launched their new project which will culminate in a book and exhibition in late 2016.   We will be painting new Irish introductions (such as Cornus capitata 'Kilmacurragh Rose') in association with the Irish Garden Plant Society.  This promises to be a great project.

Following the success of the exhibition  'Kilmacurragh through the Artist's Eye' held in the Botanic Gardens last year, The Jameson family of Tourin House in Co. Waterford have invited various artists to visit their garden to draw and paint the plants, views and vistas of the garden.     A group exhibition of this work will be held in 2016.   I am very pleased to be part of this project and have already begun two paintings, one of a Rhododendron and another of an Iris.

This year I will be attending quite a few Rare and Special Plant Fairs around the country.  I will have prints, cards and original work for sale.   Details below:
