                  Watercolour 40 x 28 cm.          €550

I am a botanical artist living and working in Co. Wicklow, Ireland. All the works featured are in watercolour and pencil. A selection of paintings are available as greetings cards and as limited edition giclee prints. Commissions are welcome if you have a favourite plant or flower that you would like painted.    Prices for original work ranges from €250 to €950.

I will be attending Ballymaloe Garden Festival in Cork on the 3rd and 4th of September.   I will have cards, prints and original art for sale.

I am looking forward to exhibiting with the Water colour Society for the first time in Dun Laoghaire for the week beginning the 26th September.   My entry is Moss Rose 'William Lobb'.

Following the success of the exhibition  'Kilmacurragh through the Artist's Eye' held in the Botanic Gardens last year, The Jameson family of Tourin House in Co. Waterford have invited various artists to visit their garden to draw and paint the plants, views and vistas of the garden.     A group exhibition of this work will be held from the 9th to the 16th of October 2016.   I am very pleased to be part of this project.  I will be exhibiting a rhododendron and Iris 'Haute les voiles'

The Booterstown Botanical Art classes will start again on  Mondays in the the Booterstown Parish Centre, South County Dublin in September. Beginners welcome. Please contact me at lynnstringer@eircom.net for further information

Works in progress include a beautiful branch of pears from an old and rare Perry Tree in Dublin.   I am also finishing off an Iris which will be an entry to the Tourin show.

Paeonia delavayi as seen above is still on show in ClareGalway.

The Irish Society of Botanical Artists have launched their new project which will culminate in a book and exhibition in late 2016. We will be painting new Irish introductions (such as Cornus capitata 'Kilmacurragh Rose') in association with the Irish Garden Plant Society. This promises to be a great project.  I am enjoying  working on Agapanthus 'Kilmurry white' which was bred by Paul Woods from Kilmurry Nursery.
